As each school year came to a close it was a bittersweet time for me. My students were excited for summer, but as an educator it was always hard for me to give up “My students” to a new teacher the following year. When I spent 7 hours a day, for 174 days with my students I grew to love and value each of them. So, when it rolls around to graduation time I am both happy and sad.
This year we had 20 Kindergarteners complete our program. To celebrate them and their achievements Mrs. Worthington planned a fantastic Kindergarten celebration! At this special program the children had the opportunity to show off many of the things they learned during this past school year. The theme for this year was focused around each child’s favorite story book character. It was wonderful night and was enjoyed by all. The Kindergarteners and their family and friends had a terrific time!
Our eighth-grade class had their own celebration! This year we had 12 students graduate. Many of these students had been together at OCS since Preschool! Over the years they became more like brothers and sisters than just classmates. Under the guidance of Mrs. Helenburg, the eighth-grade class prepared a wonderful graduation ceremony.
Those graduating from the eighth-grade were:
*DaisyLynn Anderson Joseph Eccleston *Nevaeh Nyberg
Hayden Basner Madison Hoff Brittni Olson
*Jessica Cagnacci Kailey Krampitz *Sierra Reinhardt
Jason Cervantes Devin Naredo Joshua Thomas
*Attend our church body!
Our moving forward continues as we prepare for a new school year. God is going before us and will supply all our school needs as we trust in Him.
Please be in prayer for:
●Staffing needs and grade assignments
●Refreshment and relaxation for our teaching staff
●A renewed spirit of joyful anticipation for the coming school year
