Veterans, Volleyball and Vibrant Voices!
On Thursday, November 9th Oroville Christian School held a special chapel service to honor our veterans. During the service, all branches of the armed services were recognized and veterans in attendance had the opportunity to share about their active service duty. Each veteran was given a small token of appreciation and told how much we value their service to our country. In the month prior to this chapel, OCS decided to collect special offerings to purchase Bibles through the American Bible Society to be given to current active duty men and women in the armed services. We are so please that through the generous giving of our students, families, and friends enough money was donated to purchase 136 Bibles! Our prayer is that the Word of God will go forth, bring peace, comfort, and guidance to those whom receive His Word.
The OCS Eagles Girls Volleyball team place second in a volleyball tournament sponsored through Feather River Parks and Recreation. We are so proud of our young ladies and their achievements! Go Lady Eagles!
On Friday, November 17 OCS held a special Grandparent’s Day chapel and Scholarship Awards ceremony. The facility was packed with proud parents and grandparents. Each class took a part in this special day. There were special songs, silly poems, and a whole lot of fun!
On December 6th our Advance Band held a concert for the residents of “Prestige Assisted Living” I know the wonderful sounds of our band delighted the residents and filled them with Christmas cheer.
The OCS annual Christmas Program will be held on Friday, December 22 at 10:30AM and 6:30PM in the sanctuary. “Fear Not Factor, A Heavenly Christmas Musical” will be directed by Mrs. Phillips. Each year our students shine while spreading the precious news of the coming of the King. We hope you will plan to attend one of our performances. It is an event you won’t want to miss.
Wishing you a blessed Christmas and New Year’s!
